13 elected to Board of Members and Trustees

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 16, 2009) - Officials of Breeders' Cup Limited announced today the election of 13 individuals to its Board of Members and Trustees. The election results were confirmed by TrueBallot, Inc. on June 16, and are expected to be ratified by the current Breeders' Cup Board of Members and Trustees at its July 9 meeting.

The 13 elected members will each serve a three-year term on the Breeders' Cup Board of Members and Trustees, beginning July 9. They are listed here with their votes received:

Mr. Santulli, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Pride, Mr. Ludt, Mr. Phipps, Mr. Sikura and Mr. Amerman were each re-elected.

The Breeders Cup Board of Members and Trustees consists of 48 individuals. Members and Trustees are elected by Breeders’ Cup foal and stallion nominators through a proportional share holder voting system. The Board of Members and Trustees meets at least annually for the election of members to the 13-person Breeders’ Cup Board of Directors, which oversees the activities of the corporation. The Board of Members and Trustees will vote for six new members to the Breeders’ Cup Board of Directors on July 9.
